ZLAB FORUM

Forum guidelines.

This forum supports rigorous, open, and responsible scientific exchange. By registering, browsing, or posting, you agree to follow these guidelines.

01

Real identity and account security

Lab members should register with their real name and active email address. Internal invitation codes are personal and must not be shared. Collaborator and guest accounts require administrator approval. Keep passwords secure and do not share accounts.

02

Choose the correct visibility

Public topics are readable by all visitors and suit published work, methods, and open scientific questions. ZLab Private topics are restricted to approved members and suit meeting materials, internal discussion, and project coordination. Confirm that content is suitable for release before publishing.

03

Protect data and privacy

Do not post unpublished data, manuscripts, peer-review material, personal information, credentials, patent-related material, or confidential collaborator content without authorization from the project lead and data owner. Share sensitive information only through approved internal channels.

04

Follow academic standards

Discussions should be evidence-based and distinguish facts, hypotheses, and opinions. Credit the source of reused text, figures, data, and code. Plagiarism, data fabrication, personal attacks, discrimination, harassment, and unrelated advertising are prohibited.

05

Use tags and replies responsibly

Use a clear, specific title and no more than five directly relevant tags. Replies should stay on topic and provide useful context, methods, or references. Avoid duplicate topics and low-content responses.

06

Moderation and deletion

Users may delete their own topics; deleting a topic also removes its replies. Super administrators review accounts and maintain content. They may remove posts that violate rules, disclose confidential information, infringe rights, duplicate content, or are unsuitable for public release, and may restrict violating accounts.

07

Maintain discussion quality together

Contact a forum administrator immediately if you notice incorrect visibility, possible disclosure, infringement, or inappropriate conduct. Disagreements involving interpretation, authorship, data use, or project decisions should be escalated to the responsible project lead offline.
